Lady Stallions pick up first varsity win over Gryphons; boys' fall to Atlas Prep

Atlas Prep takes the court for their first game of the year hosting Banning-Lewis Prep on the first day of CHSAA's Season B.

COLORADO SPRINGS — The Banning-Lewis Prep Academy basketball teams played their first varsity CHSAA games in the school's history on Monday.

In the early game, the Lady Stallions defeated Atlas Prep, 50 to 10.

In the last game, it was the Gryphons who got off to a strong start and never looked back, beating BLPA, 46 to 37.

Banning-Lewis Prep will now face the Thomas MacLaren School on Thursday in their first home games of the year.

Atlas Prep will have a quick turnaround and play their first road game on Tuesday at Lutheran.
