A heads up for those who regularly use I-25, especially the Gap.

Starting this Sunday CDOT will close the southbound lanes near Larkspur overnight to safely demolish Spruce Mountain Road Bridge over I-25.

That closure will run from Sunday, Oct 6, to Thursday, Oct. 10, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

All traffic will exit just north of Spruce Mountain Road, and drivers will take that road to the on-ramp at Upper Lake Gulch Road to return to I-25.

The Spruce Mountain Road on-ramp to Northbound I-25 will also close Sunday, and remain closed for nine months.

That closure will allow crews to rebuild Spruce Mountain Road Bridge.

Drivers can access northbound I-25 using Upper Lake Gulch Road during that closure.

CDOT crews will also close the West Frontage Road just south of Territorial Road for 1.5 miles at midnght on Monday, Oct. 7, for drainage work. That closure will last until Oct. 15.

Local traffic should use the Sky View Lane/Tomah Road exit to access anything south of Territorial Rd. on the West Frontage Rd.
