COLORADO SPRINGS — The Colorado Springs Police Department is mourning the loss of an officer in an off-duty accident this week.
The department said officer James "Jamie" Palaia was killed Thursday in a motocross accident.
The department asks that everyone keep his family in their thoughts and prayers at this time.
It is with the deepest sadness that we must let the citizens of our city know that off-duty CSPD Officer James “Jamie” Palaia was killed in a tragic motocross accident yesterday.
