Colorado State Patrol asking for public's help in finding witnesses to fatal crash

LARIMER COUNTY - The Colorado State Patrol is asking for help from anyone that may have witnessed a fatal crash or the moments before it.

Around 12:45 a.m. on Thursday, June 27, a black 2007 Pontiac G and a black Honda motorcycle were both traveling southbound on I-25 near mile marker 265 in Larimer County, near Fort Collins. The vehicles collided in the lane of traffic and the driver of the motorcycle, 38-year-old Joseph Kroiss of Greeley, was ejected. He died on scene.

The female driver of the Pontiac initially left the scene on foot but police later found and arrested her. She has been identified as 34-year-old Kassy Winburn of Fort Collins.

Investigators are asking anyone that witnessed the crash or either vehicle prior to the crash to call Colorado State Patrol at 303-239-4501 and give the referejce case number, which is 3C191241.
