Chrissy Teigen shares more of her private life on social media than many celebrities and she recently revealed an impressive fact about herself. On Christmas Eve, the model and TV personality posted a video on Instagram of herself dancing and singing on a yacht while on vacation in St. Bart’s with her family.

“I need whatever drugs you’re on!,” commented one of her followers, referencing Teigen’s obvious energy and cheerful attitude in the clip. While the comment was likely a joke, the star posted a reply that got everyone’s attention.

Teigen wrote that she is “four weeks sober” in response to her follower. In the comments, fans congratulated the beloved celeb on her recent lifestyle change.

Back in 2017, the 35-year-old mother of two opened up about her struggle with alcohol in an interview withCosmopolitan.

“I got used to being in hair and makeup and having a glass of wine,” she said. “Then that glass of wine would carry over into having one before the awards show. And then a bunch at the awards show. And then I felt bad for making kind of an ass of myself to people that I really respected. And that feeling, there’s just nothing like that. You feel horrible. It’s not a good look for me, for [husband John Legend], for anybody.”

At that time, Teigen said she abstained from drinking for a period of time while traveling in Bali, and she was amazed by the health and energy benefits she saw.

In 2019, she once again swore off booze after imbibing a bit too much at the Oscars, tweeting that she felt like “absolute s—” the next day.” She followed that frank message by committing to staying sober for a week, adding, “Booze is poison.”

Teigen is known for her candor about life’s ups and downs. In November 2020, she opened up about her experience with losing her baby 20 weeks into her recent pregnancy. She has continued to share her journey of recovery from the devastating loss with her fans on social media.

On Dec. 23, she shared a photo of herself on Instagram and wrote in the caption, “Even though I’m no longer pregnant, every glance in the mirror reminds me of what could have been. And I have no idea why I still have this bump, honestly. It’s frustrating.”

The post obviously struck a chord with many online, as it earned more than 3.6 million likes in about a week.

She went on to note that, despite her frustration, she’s proud of her progress in body and mind and expressed her gratitude for her two kids, “who are transforming into big little people more and more every single day.”
