Here are a few of the events going on this weekend.

The Wonderful Music of Oz

The Colorado Springs Philharmonic will perform The Wonderful Music of Oz this weekend. The musical journey over the rainbow will feature selections from The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, Wicked, and Goodby Yellow Brick Road. performances will be at 7:30 pm on Friday and Saturday at the Pikes Peak Center. Colorado Springs RV and Outdoor Show

RV dealers will have a wide variety of motorhome, travel trailers, fifth wheels, and more on display at the Colorado Spring RV and Outdoor Show this weekend. The event at the Colorado Springs Event Center will feature the latest and greatest vehicles for exploring the outdoors. The show will run from 12 pm to 7 pm on Thursday and Friday, 10 am to 6 pm on Saturday. Admission will be $8 for adults, kids 12 and under are free. Buy tickets and find more information here.

Cripple Creek Ice Festival

This is the first weekend to check out the 12th annual Cripple Creek Ice Festival. Cripple Creek will be filled with ice sculptors carving beautiful works of art out of ice. This year’s theme is “Super Heros In Ice”. There will be interactive sculptures, an ice slide, an ice maze, and carnival games made out of ice. There’s even an ice bar, live music, and street vendors to enjoy. Find more information here.

Bighorn Sheep Day

Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center will hold their 14th annual Bighorn Sheep Day Festival this Saturday. From 10 am to 3 pm the center will have high powered telescopes to search for bighorn sheep in their natural habitat, presentations, prizes, guided nature walks, kid’s activities, and live zoo animals to enjoy as you learn about our local wild animals.
