It’s the weekend before Christmas and there are plenty of ways to celebrate.

The Polar Express

Grab the family and fun pajamas and head down to Pueblo Memorial hall this Saturday for a special showing of The Polar Express. The animated family favorite will be shown at 6 pm for a magical adventure to the North Pole. Tickets will run $7 for adults and $5 for kids 2-12. Buy tickets and find more information here. 

A Colorado Nutcracker

The Colorado Ballet Society and the Colorado Youth Ballet will perform “A Colorado Nutcracker” this weekend. Their twist on the tale will incorporate highlights of local history and the founding family of Colorado Springs. Performances at the Pikes Peak Center for the Performing Arts will be Saturday at 7 pm and Sunday at 1pm and 5pm. Tickets start at $18 plus fees. Buy tickets and find more information here

The Snowflakey Princess

This is the last weekend to take the kids to see “The Snowflakey Princess” at Millibo Art Theatre. The heartwarming holiday tale, which is part of their Kid’s First series, will be performed at 11 am and 2 pm on Saturday as well as at 1 pm and 3 pm on Sunday. Mountain Illumination Festival

Cave of the Winds has the perfect way to see holiday lights- in a warm vehicle driving through the park. They’ve installed a quarter of a million lights around the grounds to light up the night. The lights will be up until January 5th with admission nightly from 5 pm to 9 pm. Cars with up to 10 people will cost $25, vans with over 10 people will cost $30. Find more information here
