Holiday events continue around town this weekend.

The Nutcracker

You can get into the holiday spirit by experiencing a holiday classic, The Nutcracker. This weekend the Colorado Springs Philharmonic will perform the incredible tale with the help of the Oklahoma City Ballet to bring all of your favorite characters to life. Performances at the Pikes Peak Center will be at 2 pm Friday – Sunday as well as at 7 pm on Friday and Saturday. Tickets start at $32. Buy tickets and find more information here

Christmas Stroll

Small Business Saturday will bring a lot of fun to Old Colorado City. Aside from the shopping, there will be a Victorian Christmas Celebration going on in the streets. You’ll find original Christmas Carolers, entertainment, treats, Christmas specials, and more from 5 pm to 8 pm. Santa’s Workshop will also be open earlier in the shopping day, from 11 am to 4 pm, for you to get a picture with a Victorian Santa Clause. Find more information here

ElectriCritters

ElectriCritters is back at the Pueblo Zoo starting this weekend and it will run every weekend through December 30th.  Aside from the typical animals, the zoo will be filled with 150 magical light creations, holiday shopping, a Candy Cane Cafe, and Santa will also be there for several of the nights. The light show will be going on from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm each night with admission for non-members running $8 for adults, $6 for kids under 13. Find more information here

Pueblo Parade of Lights

The Christmas Season will kick off in Pueblo with the annual Parade of Lights this Saturday. The 29th parade will feature festive floats, marching bands, drill teams, horses, vehicles, and more all decorated with lights. The parade will start at 5:30 pm, heading down Union from Mesa Junction towards Main Street. Find more information here
