Here are a few of the events going on around town this weekend.
Waldo Waldo 5k
This is your last year to run as Waldo at The Waldo Waldo 5k this Saturday. The run begins at 9:45 at the Pioneers Museum. Day of registration is open subject to availability so early registration is encouraged. The run will be followed by a beer garden, music, food trucks, and more. Cut-a-thon
Great Clips salons in Colorado Springs, Monument, Falcon, Pueblo, and Woodland Park will host a Cut-a-thon this Sunday. Free hair cuts with a suggested donation of $7 to Children’s Hospital Colorado will be available from noon to 5 pm. The proceeds will fund an infusion bay at the hospital’s new Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders. You can walk in on Sunday or use the Great Clips app for an appointment.
Giant Pumpkin Fest
The Giant Pumpkin Fest is back this Saturday! Pumpkins will be rolling in to Old Colorado City from 11 am to 5 pm. There will be a pumpkin patch, vendors, sidewalk sales, costumes, and plenty of fall fun for the entire family. Find more information here.
Boo At The Zoo
Boo at the Zoo is back for the Halloween season. Cheyenne Mountain Zoo will have all of the treats and none of the tricks for the little ones to enjoy the season. From 4 pm to 8:30 pm this Friday – Sunday, next Friday – Sunday, and Halloween night there will be Halloween activities and fun with the zoo animals.
