Here are a few of the events going on for the first weekend of October.

Fine Arts Festival

Friends of the Florissant Fossil Beds will hold their 3rd Annual Fine Arts Festival this Saturday and Sunday. From 9 am to 5 pm both days world renowned artists and regional artists will have art for sale with meet and greet opportunities along with kids activities, hikes, and educational opportunities. Park admission is $7 for adults 16 and over. Kids are free. Find more informationhere.

Rock Ledge Ranch Harvest Festival

October means Fall is in the air! Rock Ledge Ranch will celebrate with their annual Harvest Festival this Saturday. The grounds will be filled with activities and fun for the whole family like wagon rides, old time music, pumpkin patches, candy, pie, historic homes, blacksmith tours, crafts, food vendors, a silent auction, and more. Reynolds Ranch Harvest Festival

Fall is also in full swing at the Western Museum of Mining and Industry this weekend. From 10 am to 4 pm both days the 7th Annual Reynolds Ranch Harvest Festival will have a pumpkin patch, hayrides, food trucks, vendors, spooky stories, cider, bounce houses, and more. .5 K

The .5K is back this weekend in Palmer Lake. The .5k course will feature a donut stop at the halfway point and a free beer at O’Malley’s Pub after you cross the finish line. You can crash the course anytime between 10:30 am and 11:30 am with the “official” shotgun start at 10:30. Fun outfits and costumes are encouraged. The run will go on no matter the weather. Entry for adults will be $40 ahead of time, $45 day of. All proceeds go to Awake Palmer Lake. Register and find more information here.
