BOULDER — The Air Force football team defeated Colorado 30-23 in overtime Saturday at Folsom Field.

After a 45-year hiatus, the Falcons win over the Buffaloes was their first against the in-state foe since 1968.

AFA quarterback DJ Hammond III accounted for three total touchdowns while defensive back Jeremy Fejedelem recorded 14 tackles in the victory.

Off to a 2-0 start to the season, Troy Calhoun's team will meet No. 20 Boise State on the road this Friday at 7 p.m. to open Mountain West Conference play.
