Warmer with more wind today prompting a few Red Flag Warnings

Today’s Forecast:
Warmer and gusty conditions across Colorado today have prompted Red Flag Warnings over Pueblo, Huerfano, and western Las Animas counties. The winds could gust as high as 35 mph with humidity down to and below 15 percent in those warned counties. The rest of the region will remain windiest through the afternoon before calm conditions return through the evening.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 62; Low: 33. Increasing clouds and wind through the afternoon with mild daytime temperatures.

PUEBLO: High: 72; Low: 32. Mostly sunny to partly cloud with stronger afternoon winds and warm daytime temperatures.

CANON CITY: High: 67; Low: 38. Mostly sunny to partly cloud with stronger afternoon winds and warm daytime temperatures.

WOODLAND PARK: High: 52; Low: 29. Increasing clouds and wind through the afternoon with mild temperatures.

TRI-LAKES: High: 50s; Low: 30s. Increasing clouds and gusty winds through the afternoon with mild daytime temperatures.

PLAINS: High: 70s; Low: 30s. Mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies with stronger afternoon winds and very warm daytime temperatures.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 60s; Low: 30s. Increasing cloud cover and wind today prompting high fire danger and leading to warm daytime temperatures.

Extended Outlook:
We will likely see more fire advisories tomorrow across southern Colorado due to more gusty winds and dry ground. We'll be warmer tomorrow with highs back in the 60s and 70s. A cold front will push temperatures back around 5 to 8 degrees on Thursady before a chance for snow on Friday.
