Today’s Forecast:
We're going to see a nice day weather-wise, but smoke will become an issue through the afternoon. We'll see highs warm up into the 70s and 80s later today with light winds and shaded skies from the smoke.

Northwest jetstream winds will keep bringing smoke in from the Mullen, Cameron Peak, and Williams fork fires through the afternoon and evening. A cold front tonight will hopefully clear out some of this smoke by Saturday, but it might just push it west a bit into the mountains.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 76; Low: 44. Warm and smoky with lowering air quality through the afternoon.

PUEBLO: High: 81; Low: 43. Warm with increasing smoke later today and dipping air quality in the afternoon.

CANON CITY: High: 79; Low: 47. Warm and hazy through the day but the thickest smoke is forecast to stay east of Fremont County.

WOODLAND PARK: High: 69; Low: 36. Warm and hazy today but the smoke should stay thicker on the other side of the mountains in El Paso County.

TRI-LAKES: High: 70s; Low: 30s. Mild and smoky today, especially in the afternoon and evening.

PLAINS: High: 80s; Low: 40s. Warm with light winds and elevated smoke and haze through the afternoon and evening.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 70s; Low: 30s. Warm and breezy with smoke blowing down by the end of the day and through the evening hours.

Extended Outlook:
A cold front should clear out the skies along I-25 and drop temperatures for Saturday. We'll still be hazy in and around the mountains, but we'll bring more smoke back by Sunday. Next week looks warm and dry.
