Today’s Forecast:
We're going to have a really nice day today and tonight before we see a chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms at the end of the day. Very dry air at the surface is going to prevent most of the rain from hitting the ground, and we might just see gusty winds and lightning come down from any thundershowers.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 68; Low: 37. Building clouds and wind through the afternoon with scattered showers and a stray lighting bolt east of town at the end of the day. Dry air will make it tough for much rain to actually make it to the ground.

PUEBLO: High: 75; Low: 40. Building clouds with stronger, gusty winds in the afternoon and a few thundershowers possible by the end of the day. Dry air will make it tough for much rain to actually make it to the ground.

CANON CITY: High: 73; Low: 39. Building clouds and gusty winds through the afternoon with a couple showers and thundershowers at the end of the day. Dry air will make it tough for much rain to actually make it to the ground.

WOODLAND PARK: High: 55; Low: 30. Building clouds with showers and even a bit of snow mixed in possible through the end of the day. Dry air will make it tough for much rain to actually make it to the ground.

TRI-LAKES: High: 50s; Low: 20s. Building clouds and wind through the afternoon with scattered showers by the end of the day. Dry air will make it tough for much rain to actually make it to the ground.

PLAINS: High: 70s; Low: 40s. Building clouds and wind through the afternoon with a small chance for spotty showers through the afternoon and evening. Dry lightning and gusty winds are a stronger possibility today. Dry air will make it tough for much rain to actually make it to the ground.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 60s; Low: 30s. Building clouds and wind through the afternoon with scattered showers and a stray lighting bolt at the end of the day. Dry air will make it tough for much rain to actually make it to the ground.

Extended Outlook:
We're going to see much cooler air tomorrow with highs back in the 50s and 60s by the end of the day. Showers will be back in the forecast tomorrow, with maybe an inch of snow trying to mix down with rain in areas like Teller County. Saturday now looks mostly dry with very warm and dry air taking over through the end of the weekend and early next week.
