Today’s Forecast:
We're going to be HOT across southern Colorado today, and storms will be pretty limited. The mountains will likely see the most storm action today with really only a few scattered thunderstorms moving across the lower elevations. Any rain we see today will die off very early this evening and we'll be left with a warm and calm night.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 90; Low: 56. Hot today with spotty and weak thunderstorms possible in the afternoon. We would be more likely to see gusty winds and sprinkles over much rain today.

PUEBLO: High: 98; Low: 60. Very hot in Pueblo today with mostly dry skies expected. A few storms may try to form west of tow, but only gusty winds would be likely to come out of storms near Pueblo.

CANON CITY: High: 93; Low: 62. Hot today with spotty and weak thunderstorms possible in the afternoon. We would be more likely to see gusty winds and sprinkles over much rain today.

WOODLAND PARK: High: 80; Low: 49. Very warm today with a chance for spotty and isolated thundershowers in the afternoon, most of which would be very weak.

TRI-LAKES: High: 80s; Low: 50s. Very warm today with a small chance for an isolated daytime thunderstorm that would likely be weak if it forms.

PLAINS: High: 90/100s; Low: 60s. Very hot and likely dry today, but a few stray thundershowers could develop in the afternoon, especially near Prowers and Baca Counties.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 90s; Low: 50s. Likely hot and dry today but a stray thunderstorm could try and move out of the mountains west of the area.

Extended Outlook:
A cold front overnight will push high temperatures back into the 80s and 90s tomorrow, but also supply moisture for strong to severe storms. We have a great chance for strong to severe weather in the afternoon Friday, with large hail and strong winds as our main two threats. We're going to be hot through the early part of next week but mainly dry after Sunday.
