Saturday will be a hot day for mid-September. Downslope flow will produce sunny skies and hot dry air. Highs will run more than 10 degrees hotter than average. Stay hydrated and use the sunscreen if outdoors this weekend. Look for that full Harvest Moon tonight, the first time in the past 19 years we've seen one on Friday the 13th. Skies will be clear tonight for great moon viewing.

Extended Outlook:
Clear skies and light winds tonight will allow for a very chilly start to Saturday, and then allow for a hot afternoon. Highs will be back in the mid 80s and lower 90s Saturday afternoon. We'll see a bit more of a breeze on Sunday with continued warm air through the region. Cooler air returns next week but we should stay dry, other than just a few thunderstorms trying to come back to the mountains on Monday.
