Swinging back to chilly fall-like weather after this abnormally warm week

Today’s Forecast:
The weather is going to feel A LOT colder today compared to most days this week. Highs will be in the 50s this afternoon and we'll get overcast as thick clouds roll off the mountains. The winds will be breezy again today, ramping up in the late morning through the mid-afternoon out of the south and southeast. We are expecting to stay dry today and tonight.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 50; Low: 30. Increasing cloud cover with chilly afternoon temperatures. The winds could gust in the mid 20 mph range at times today.

PUEBLO: High: 56; Low: 30. Increasing clouds with mild daytime temperatures and occasional gusty afternoon conditions.

CANON CITY: High: 53; Low: 34. Building clouds and chilly temperatures with mostly light winds.

WOODLAND PARK: High: 46; Low: 26. Mostly cloudy and cold today with winds gusting into the 20 mph range at times today.

TRI-LAKES: High: 40s; Low: 20s. Building clouds and cold with winds gusting in the mid 20 mph range at times today.

PLAINS: High: 50s; Low: 30s. Sunny in the morning and clouds in the afternoon with mild temps and light winds.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 50s; Low: 30s. Breezy with increasing clouds and dry skies.

MOUNTAINS: High: 50s; Low: 20s. Breezy southeast winds providing upslope in the mountains with overcast skies developing and cold daytime temperatures. We'll stay dry today but light snow could fall Saturday morning along the Sangre De Cristos.

Extended Outlook:
Light snow in and around the Sangre De Cristos will fall early Saturday morning with a few scattered showers along the Raton Mesa out to Baca County. Most of southern Colorado is dry and cold on Saturday. We'll be colder on Sunday from a cold front Saturday night with dry skies till a snow chance Tuesday.
