Today’s Forecast:
Scattered storms are expected today, some of which will likely be strong to severe as they move east of I-25 and through the plains in the afternoon. Storms will start over the mountains shortly after lunch and then push east through the plains where they will get stronger. We'll see lingering thundershowers in the early evening before we dry out overnight.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 78; Low: 55. Scattered storms will periodically move through and around Colorado Springs from the early afternoon through the evening hours. While strong storms could develop, we're not expecting severe weather in town today.

PUEBLO: High: 87; Low: 58. Scattered storms could move through town periodically from the afternoon through the early evening hours, but severe weather is not expected. Storms will generally grow stronger as they move east away from Pueblo county, especially along Highway 50.

CANON CITY: High: 82; Low: 56. Scattered storms, some of which could be on the stronger side but likely not severe, will move through Canon City and all of Fremont County in general from the early afternoon through the early evening hours.

WOODLAND PARK: High: 69; Low: 46. Scattered and spotty storms are possible in Woodland Park and Teller County this afternoon but severe weather is not expected.

TRI-LAKES: High: 70s; Low: 50s. Scattered and spotty storms are possible across the Tri-Lakes area this afternoon and early evening with non-severe weather expected.

PLAINS: High: 80s; Low: 60s. Strong to severe thunderstorms are likely across the plains, pretty much for everyone east of Pueblo county along highway 50 as well as eastern Las Animas County. Heavy rain, lightning, very strong winds, and hail would all be possible today in our strongest storms.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 80s; Low: 50s. Scattered storms will move through the area in the early afternoon with storms still possible in the early evening. Severe weather is not likely over Walsenburg to Trinidad but strong to severe storms are possible in central to eastern Las Animas County.

Extended Outlook:
This week looks very active with warming temperatures by mid-week and daily storm chances through Saturday. Storms could be strong at times, with the best chance for spotty severe storms likely to stay out east into the plains.
