Today’s Forecast:
After the big snow storm yesterday, the weather calms down quite a bit across southern Colorado. We could see periodic morning flurries over the mountains and valleys, with more light snow showers over the same areas by the end of the day. Most of the I-25 corridor and plains will be dry today but chilly with high pressure from the Midwest pushing cloud cover off the plains into the mountains.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 36; Low: 22. Isolated and stray snow flakes in the morning under cloudy skies and chilly daytime temperatures, especially with stronger afternoon winds.

PUEBLO: High: 45; Low: 20. Mostly dry today with cloudy skies in the morning and hopefully a bit more afternoon sunshine, with a stronger afternoon breeze.

CANON CITY: High: 42; Low: 28. Mostly cloudy with stray snow flakes in the morning, and any afternoon or end of day snow staying west or south into the mountains and valleys. It'll be breezy in the afternoon and chilly.

WOODLAND PARK: High: 34; Low: 18. Mostly cloudy and cold today with a small chance for isolated flurries at the end of the day but with no new snow accumulation. It'll be cold all day.

TRI-LAKES: High: 30s; Low: 10s. Mostly cloudy and cold in the morning with stronger gusts in the afternoon and dry conditions expected through the evening.

PLAINS: High: 40s; Low: 20s. Mostly cloudy and cold in the morning with a bit more sunshine in the afternoon with strong to gusty winds off and on all day. We should be dry all day.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 40s; Low: 20s. Mostly cloudy and windy in the morning with a bit more sun in the afternoon, any snow today would be out west into the mountains later today but with little to no new accumulation.

Extended Outlook:
Tomorrow there could be more light snow or rain showers over the Sangre and Wet mountains, as well as the Raton Mesa (just rain over the mesa). Most of us should be dry tomorrow, but also much warmer. We'll be sunnier and much warmer on Sunday with highs back into the 50s and 60s. Next week looks much warmer and we'll stay dry through the extended forecast. The next snow chance arrives next Thursday.
