Tonight's Forecast:
Our biggest forecast concern tonight is the near-arctic temperature impact on snow and slush-covered roads. We could easily have a re-freeze across most roadways, especially those that are untreated in the country and smaller neighborhoods. As the skies clear temperatures will sink into the single digits, so either way we're getting cold again!

Friday actually looks quite nice, aside from the very cold start, especially in the afternoon when the sun comes back! We should see temperatures climb into the 40s through the lower elevation, and even a couple 50s are possible. Any low clouds or fog in the morning shouldn't be overly long-lived.

COLORADO SPRINGS: Low: 8; High: 49. Really cold tonight with lows down in the single digits and the possibility for low clouds and patchy freezing fog early Friday morning. The sun should return mid-morning and last through the afternoon with a quick warm-up and fairly light winds.

PUEBLO: Low: 6; High: 52. Very cold tonight with lows in the single digits and a mix of clear skies and clouds through early Friday morning. Patchy freezing fog is possible in the morning but we should be sunny and much warmer mid-morning through the afternoon.

CANON CITY: Low: 15; High: 50. Cold tonight with the possibility for patchy dense fog through the valley and foothills outside of town followed by a warmer and sunny afternoon.

WOODLAND PARK: Low: 9; High: 40. Really cold tonight with lows dropping to the single digits and fog possible west as you drop through Ute Pass. We'll see a modest warm-up tomorrow with daytime sunshine and light winds.

TRI-LAKES: Low: <10; High: 40s. Super cold tonight and icy as the slush and snow re-freezes with lows in the single digits. We could see patchy frozen fog overnight but sunshine and warmer air should return through the afternoon.

PLAINS: Low: <10; High: 40s. Patchy frozen fog will be possible tonight with very cold air and lows in the single digits. We'll get warmer and sunny through the afternoon with light winds.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: Low: 10s; High: 40s. Very cold tonight with light winds and spotty fog possible especially east of I-25. We will see sunshine in the afternoon with breezy and dry daytime conditions.

MOUNTAINS: Low: 10s; High: 40s. Cold tonight with light winds and a likely re-freeze on untreated and smaller mountain roads. We'll warm up well enough Friday afternoon with sunshine.

Extended Outlook:
Saturday starts dry and gets fairly mild before a cold front in the evening that could bring light snow showers through the region. We're not expecting much accumulation out of that snow. Monday and Tuesday of next week look nice and much warmer, but we could see snow move back in by next Wednesday.
