Sunshine will dominate the forecast through the morning and early afternoon with cloud cover returning to and near the mountains by the end of the day. Isolated thunderstorms might try to pop over the mountains in western Fremont County, but most of the region will stay dry today.
COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 74; Low: 48. Mostly sunny in the morning and cloudier through the end of the day with a nice daytime breeze.
PUEBLO: High: 82; Low: 49. Sunny and warm with a nice, cooling breeze in the afternoon.
CANON CITY: High: 78; Low: 48. Sunny with a few clouds in the afternoon and a nice daytime breeze.
WOODLAND PARK: High: 66; Low: 40. Mostly sunny followed by partly cloudy and mild daytime conditions.
TRI-LAKES: High: 60s; Low: 40s. Mostly sunny with a few clouds in the afternoon and beautiful daytime temperatures.
PLAINS: High: 80s; Low: 50s. Warm and sunny with a pleasant daytime breeze.
WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 70s; Low: 40s. Sunny skies and breezy today with nice daytime temperatures.
Extended Outlook:
We're going to keep heating up through the forecast with highs back in the upper 80s and mid 90s by the weekend. We should stay dry until Friday with a few scattered mountain storms return to the forecast. Saturday is still our best day for rain, but isolated storms could develop on Sunday.
