Today’s Forecast:
Dry air and sunshine work together today to bring a perfect summer afternoon! We'll stay dry today with plenty of heavy building into the afternoon. Highs will run into the 80s and 90s east of the mountains with tons of sunshine. Tonight a cold front will push gusty winds across the plains but we'll actually stay pretty mild with lows in the 50s and 60s.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High - 89; Low - 58. Mostly sunny, dry and hot today with a light afternoon breeze to keep us cool.

PUEBLO: High - 96; Low - 61. Sunny, dry and very hot today with a breeze through the afternoon.

CANON CITY: High - 93; Low - 63. Sunny, dry and hot today with a light breeze through the afternoon.

WOODLAND PARK: High - 80; Low - 49. A mixture of clouds and sun with dry skies to start the day, with showers and thunderstorms developing around lunch. Storms will move east, off and on, through the afternoon with dry skies by the end of the day. Heavy rain, lightning, and small hail are the biggest storm threats today.

TRI-LAKES: High - 80s; Low - 50s. Sunny skies through the morning with a few clouds into the afternoon. It'll be warm in the afternoon and dry through the day.

PLAINS: High - 90s; Low - 60s. Sunny, dry and very hot today with a breeze through the afternoon.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High - 80/90s; Low - 50s. Mostly sunny, dry and hot today with a light afternoon breeze to keep us cool.

Extended Outlook:
Hot and mostly dry weather extends through most of this week. A few stray mountain thunderstorms are possible on Wednesday and Friday afternoon, but the next best chance for rain seems to arrive Friday. The weekned looks pretty wet and stormy with strong storms possible from Saturday afternoon through early next week. Highs will stay in the 80s and 90s through the weekend in Colorado Springs, and mainly the 90s for Pueblo.
