Patchy dense fog this morning with a cloudy and cold afternoon

Today’s Forecast:
Patchy freezing fog was a possibility overnight through the early hours of the morning. We'll be dry and cloudy in the afternoon with very spread out temperatures. Some places like Canon City and Trinidad could warm into the 50s while the lower plains could sit in the 30s and 20s.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 42; Low: 19. Cold and cloudy today with light winds and a few areas of patchy fog outside of town in the morning.

PUEBLO: High: 38; Low: 17. Cold with areas of patchy fog in the morning and cold and dry in the afternoon under clouds.

CANON CITY: High: 53; Low: 27. Patchy morning fog followed by a warmer and dry afternoon with a westerly breeze.

WOODLAND PARK: High: 45; Low: 23. Cloudy and cold with breezy daytime winds out of the west.

TRI-LAKES: High: 40s; Low: 20s. Cold and chilly just above some of the coldest air with dry but cloudy skies.

PLAINS: High: 20/30s; Low: 10s. Shallow cold air persists and temperatures will struggle to warm into the 30s at best today with fairly light winds.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 50s; Low: 20s. Warm and windy through the afternoon with dry skies.

MOUNTAINS: High: 40s; Low: 20s. It will be windy once again over the high country, but not so much the Wet Mountains. Mountain passes like Monarch and Cottonwood will be really windy during the day, and we're expecting snow in the central and northern mountains through the evening.

Extended Outlook:
The forecast will remain pretty chilly over the next few days with highs in the 40s through Thursday and even colder air into the weekend. We'll see a chance for light snow or flurries from Friday through Sunday.
