Extended Outlook:
Near record temperatures will be back across southern Colorado Friday with more dry skies and punishing sunshine. Cooler weather arrives on Saturday with scattered showers and thunderstorms starting over the mountains and pushing east into the plains. Better storm chances arrive by Sunday and Monday, with temperatures back into the 80s across the eastern plains. We'll keep monsoonal storms around through Tuesday with drier weather trying to push back into the region by Wednesday.
