Tonight's Forecast:
Storms will continue across our area tonight and will clear out overnight. Overnight lows will dip into the 50s and 60s. Sunday morning will still have a few clouds across the area, but there will still be sunshine.
Tomorrow's Forecast:
Storm chances will pick up in the early afternoon with the coverage expanding across southern Colorado. One area that will need to be watched is the Aspen Acres Fire. These storms will drop a decent amount of rainfall, and will cause some roadways to have some flooding. Gusty winds will also be a possibility up to 55mph. Highs will still be on the warmer side in the 80s and 90s.
Colorado Springs forecast: Low: 59; High: 91;
Colorado Springs will have overnight lows in the upper 50s. Conditions will continue to be warm and above average. Afternoon highs will top out in the lower 90s. Storm chances will pick up in the early afternoon. Coverage looks a little more widespread than Saturday.
Pueblo forecast: Low: 64; High: 97;
Pueblo will have morning temperatures in the mid-60s. These temperatures will warm quickly, but eventually top out in the upper 90s. As storms move through the area, it will cause some areas to have some cooler temperatures. These storms will have a possibility of some flooding and gusty winds.
Canon City forecast: Low: 65; High: 94;
Canon City will have morning temperatures in the mid-60s. There will be some moisture tomorrow that will lead to more afternoon storms. Afternoon highs will eventually get into the mid-90s.
Woodland Park forecast: Low: 53; High: 81;
Woodland Park will start the day with plenty of sunshine and just a few clouds. Cloud cover will increase as the morning goes on, and eventually some storms will pop up. Gusty winds, localized flooding and some lightning will be possible. Afternoon highs will reach the lower 80s.
Tri-Lakes forecast: Low: 57; High: 86;
Monument will have overnight lows in the upper 50s. Temperatures will eventually get into the mid-80s. Storms will pop up in the afternoon and will last into the evening.
Plains forecast: Low: 60s; High: 90s;
The eastern plains will have morning temperatures in the 60s. Temperatures will still be warm despite the rain moving in. These storms will last from the afternoon into the evening.
Walsenburg and Trinidad forecast: Low: 62; High: 92/95;
The southern portion of I-25 will have temperatures tomorrow morning in the lower 60s. Afternoon temperatures will get into the lower-to-mid 90s. Storms will start in the afternoon and last into the evening. The Aspen Acres Fire will need to be watched with how much rainfall is likely with some of these storms.
Mountains forecast: Low: 50s; High: 80s;
The mountains will also continue with these storm chances tomorrow. This will continue over the next several days. Afternoon highs will get into the 80s.
Extended outlook forecast:
The next dew days will have the chance for afternoon storms with this moisture sticking around. Once this high pressure system moves back in around Wednesday or Thursday it will block off that moisture and we will see a decrease in rain chances. Going into next weekend things will dry out and temperatures will warm.
