Increasing clouds and wind today across the region with well above average temperatures! The winds will be westerly today and increase into the 10 to 20 mph range with a few gusts over 25 mph from the late morning through the afternoon, especially in and around the mountains. We'll see cloud cover thin out a bit through the overnight hours with a cold front moving in from the north, pushing overnight lows down into the 20s.
COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 58; Low: 26. Cloudier skies coming off the mountains through the day with increasing southwest winds.
PUEBLO: High: 64; Low: 23. Mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies through the day with breezier west winds in the afternoon.
CANON CITY: High: 62; Low: 30. Increasing clouds through the day with gusty west winds coming out of the Arkansas River Valley
WOODLAND PARK: High: 49; Low: 19. Increasing clouds and stronger winds through the afternoon with gusts up to and over 30 mph.
TRI-LAKES: High: 40/50s; Low: 10s. Cloudier skies over the Tri-Lakes region with increasing winds through the day.
PLAINS: High: 50/60s; Low: 20s. Mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies through the day with breezy and warm afternoon conditions.
WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 50s; Low: 20s. Increasing clouds and windy conditions today with above average daytime temperatures.
Extended Outlook:
Snowfall increases across the mountains this evening with fairly strong winds expected to stay out in the high country through the end of the week. Thursday will be a better day for mountain snow, with most ski resort areas seeing somewhere between 2 to 6 inches from late tonight through Friday morning. Light snow still looks to show up around Friday morning and last into the early afternoon, but with very little accumulation expected.
