Today’s Forecast:
Expect cold and ICY conditions during the early morning drive from light snow that fell Thursday night. Sunshine and gusty winds will work quickly to melt and dry the roads, as well as push temperatures back into the 50s later today! Red Flag Warnings are in effect across the eastern plains due to strong winds and low humidity elevating fire danger.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 51; Low: 25. Icy and cold in the morning before we get sunny, warm, and breezy through the afternoon with gusty north to northwest winds.

PUEBLO: High: 57; Low: 21. Cold and dry in the morning with sunny skies and windy conditions through the afternoon. Wind gusts will be over 20 mph out of the north in the afternoon.

CANON CITY: High: 54; Low: 31. Cold and dry in the morning with sunny skies and breezy afternoon conditions pushing daytime temperatures into the 50s.

WOODLAND PARK: High: 45; Low: 22. Cold and icy in the morning with sunny skies and breezy conditions melting the main roads and bringing mild daytime weather.

TRI-LAKES: High: 40s; Low: 20s. Cold and very slick from snow and ice in the morning until sunshine, gusty winds, and warmer air melts the pavement from the late morning into the afternoon.

PLAINS: High: 50s; Low: 20s. High fire danger from Red Flag Warnings in the afternoon due to strong northerly winds and low humidity. If you see smoke, call it in quickly! Temperatures will boost into the 50s with sunshine.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 50s; Low: 20s. Icy and cold in the morning before sunshine and gusty winds push daytime temperatures into the 50s this afternoon.

Extended Outlook:
The weekend continues to look amazing across southern Colorado with sunny and very warm skies. Superbowl Sunday will see high temperatures in the 60s and 70s. Snow still looks likely from Monday to Tuesday, with decent accumulations expected through Tuesday morning.
