Tonight's Forecast: Quite a bit of activity has been seen over Las Animas County this evening, with a few Severe Thunderstorm Warnings issued here. For the rest of the us, I do expect that we'll see some showers and storms blossom through the evening hours. Everything should wrap up by midnight, with mild overnight lows to follow.

CANON CITY: Low: 53; High: 88. Hot, dry and windy on Monday. Red Flag Warnings will go into effect at noon and continue through 8 pm. Avoid activities which could spark a fire.

WOODLAND PARK: Low: 44; High: 76. Warm and sunny on Monday, with highs in the 70s over Teller County.

TRI-LAKES: Low: 40s; High: 70s/80s. Bright, warm and breezy on Monday. Highs will top out in the upper 70s and lower 80s across northern El Paso County.

PLAINS: Low: 40s/50s; High: 80s/90s. We'll be feeling a little more like summer for the start of the week, with hot and dry weather for the Plains.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: Low: 40s/50s; High: 80s. After a weekend full of rain showers and thunderstorms, Monday brings a change to the weather pattern, with hot and dry weather.

Extended Outlook: Monday's heat will continue through at least Tuesday, with a few degrees of cooling expected by Wednesday. With more strong wind in the forecast through the middle of the week and low relative humidity, fire weather conditions will remain moderate to high over Southern Colorado. As for rain, there's a slight chance on Tuesday. Otherwise, it will be a dry week of weather ahead.
