Today’s Forecast:
Very muggy and warm air is in the forecast for southern Colorado today, and this will help to fuel thunderstorms later in the afternoon. It'll feel hot, not only because we're going to have temperatures in the 80s and 90s, but also because of the extra humidity in the air. Storms are possible today, starting first over the mountains and then pushing east into the I-25 corridor and adjacent plains. Storms today could produce heavy rain, small hail and lightning, with plenty of gusty wind. We'll be dry and warm overnight.
