Today’s Forecast:
We're looking pretty hot across southern Colorado today, and a few might get lucky enough for a stray thunderstorm in the afternoon. Rain chances are pretty limited today from a lack of moisture and a hot air mass in place this afternoon. Overnight any rain we have will dry up in the plains and we'll just be calm and mild.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 91; Low: 59. Mainly hot and dry even though a stray thunderstorm could spark off the foothills and develop a bit better east of the city in El Paso County.

PUEBLO: High: 97; Low: 63. Very hot today and likely just dry through the afternoon.

CANON CITY: High: 94; Low: 63. Hot today and likely dry in the afternoon even though a stray shower in the mountains is possible.

WOODLAND PARK: High: 80; Low: 51. An isolated thundershower is possible but most of Teller County and Woodland Park looks dry.

TRI-LAKES: High: 80s; Low: 50s. A stray thundershower could develop over the Palmer Divide and Tri-Lakes area, but most of the region looks hot and dry.

PLAINS: High: 90s; Low: 60s. Very hot today with sparse and isolated thunderstorms possible in the afternoon and evening. A stray storm could be strong and severe east of La Junta, but severe chances remain on the low end today.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 90s; Low: 50s. Likely just hot and dry across the region.

Extended Outlook:
We've got a much better chance for rain and thunderstorms tomorrow with cooler air and moist, upslope flow hopefully leading to heavy rain. Wednesday and Thursday looks drier and hot, but monsoon moisture could lead to heavier rain over the weekend.
