Today’s Forecast:
Heat and humidity build from the morning to the early afternoon, with showers and thunderstorms ending the day and running well into the evening hours. Highs will be in the 90s along I-25 with the greatest heat expected from Pueblo out east into the plains, where a few isolated triple digits are expected. Storms will start over the mountains and drift east into the plains from the afternoon through the evening hours, growing stronger and more widespread as the leave the high country. Severe weather is not expected today but storms could still pack a punch through the evening.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High - 90; Low - 62. Hot and humid through the early afternoon with storms from the end of the day to the early evening. Storms are not expected to be severe, but heavy rain, lightning, and gusty winds are likely.

PUEBLO: High - 98; Low - 66. Very hot and humid today with showers and thunderstorms moving through town at the end of the day into the early evening. Non severe storms are expected but heavy rain, lightning, and gusty winds are expected.

CANON CITY: High - 96; Low - 68. Hot and humid through the early afternoon with storms from the end of the day to the early evening. Storms are not expected to be severe, but heavy rain, lightning, and gusty winds are likely.

WOODLAND PARK: High - 82; Low - 52. Warm into the early afternoon with off and on rounds of showers and thunderstorms into the early evening. Heavy rain, lightning and gusty winds are possible in thunderstorms.

TRI-LAKES: High - 80s; Low - 50s. Very warm and humid through the early afternoon with storms from the mid afternoon to the early evening hours. Storms are not expected to be severe, but heavy rain, lightning, and gusty winds are likely.

PLAINS: High - 90/100s; Low - 60s. Very hot through the mid afternoon, especially right around highway 50, with end of day and overnight thunderstorms to cool things down. Storms will be scattered through the plains from the afternoon through the evening hours with heavy rain, lightning, and gusty winds all possible.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High - 90s; Low - 60s. Hot and humid through the early afternoon with storms from the end of the day to the early evening. Storms are not expected to be severe, but heavy rain, lightning, and gusty winds are likely. Flooding concerns grow today over the Spring Burn Scar.

Extended Outlook:
Heavy and widespread rain is expected on Thursday, with plenty of rain through the forecast on Friday. Flooding concerns over the burn scars are very high on Thursday and Friday. Storms thin out a bit and become more scattered by Saturday and Sunday, with drier weather attempting to return on Tuesday.
