Frighteningly cold start to Halloween

Today’s Forecast:
Happy Halloween everyone! It'll be extremely cold this morning, but a full day of sunshine will warm afternoon temperatures up above freezing. We'll see plenty of melting today through the afternoon, meaning that icy sidewalks could become an issue again tonight when the water tries to freeze over. Temperatures for trick or treaters will be in the low 30s around 6 pm and mid 20s by 9 pm.

Extended Outlook:
Another cold night is on tap across southern Colorado with lows falling into the teens and low 20s by Friday morning. We'll see a cold front push gusty winds through the state overnight, meaning wind chilly tomorrow morning will be rough once again. Friday will be a few degrees cooler than today. Warm and dry skies return for the weekend.
