A cold front overnight brought really chilly air to the state this morning and even a few snowflakes in northern El Paso County, Teller County, and the Wet Mountains. We'll be dry today with increasing sunshine in the afternoon. Highs will bounce back into the 50s and 60s later today with temperatures falling back towards freezing tonight.
The winds will be gusty in the afternoon meaning fire danger will stay elevated.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 60s; Low: 30s. Warm and breezy in the afternoon with dry skies.
We've got warm and dry conditions coming to the forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday with highs up in the 70s and 80s across the plains. A cold front will knock things back to the 60s and 70s on Thursday with gorgeous conditions over the weekend.
