Today’s Forecast:
Strong, gusty winds will run through southern Colorado today while heavier snow continues to fall out west across the high country. We are going to stay dry across southern Colorado today, but prepare for slick drives if you're going out west, especially along I-70 and parts of highway 24 as they run north. Daytime highs will be above freezing today but we'll drop back into the 20s overnight.

Extended Outlook:
Light snow and flurries are expected early Saturday morning through Fremont, Teller, Pueblo, and El Paso counties, but after that we should stay mostly dry. The bulk of our weekend snow arrives Sunday morning, and continues falling in waves through Sunday night, ending with flurries early Monday morning. As noted in the picture at the top of this story, snow totals will be highest west of I-25, and at areas over 7,000 feet. The wind will not be overly strong with this storm, but any driving will be slick and slow during the day Sunday.
