Today’s Forecast:
Most of southern Colorado's snow fell late Monday and will continue through the morning on Tuesday. A second wave of energy passing through Colorado will provide energy for occasional light snow showers to flurries during the daytime, but accumulations look pretty low for most areas out of the mountains. A few more inches are possible in the southern mountains and near La Veta Pass today.

Temperatures today will be incredibly cold under cloudy skies with most highs staying in the teens or low 20s through the region. Overnight we'll clear the clouds out and allow for an incredibly cold night with temperatures falling into the single digits and negatives.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 16; Low: -1. Cloudy, cold, and windy at times with light snow or flurries possible at times today with additional snow totals mainly under 1 inch.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 10s; Low: Below 0. Cloudy, cold, and breezy today with periods of light snow through the daytime, bringing another few inches from Walsenburg to Trinidad before snow stops tonight. Heavier snow will likely fall in and around La Veta Pass through the daytime.

Extended Outlook:
Dry and clearer skies return to the forecast for Wednesday, with sunshine allowing for melting on the pavement. We'll keep melting snow down on Thursday, despite heavy cloud cover and light flurries in the region. Light snow returns to the region on Friday, but with light and limited accumulations expected through the region. As of now, the weekend looks warmer and drier.
