Dangerous cold in the morning but it comes with sunny skies!

Today’s Forecast:
Dense fog has settled into eastern El Paso county this morning but will not last long through the morning hours.

Snow fell as expected heaviest south of the Pikes Peak Region, leaving most roadways that went untreated covered in ice and snow. We'll be very cold today with morning temperatures reading from the single digits to low teens. Sunshine will help quickly push temperatures into the 20s and a few low 30s through the afternoon.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 30; Low: 12. Patchy dense fog on the east side of town with sunny skies and chilly daytime temperatures.

PUEBLO: High: 32; Low: 10. Mostly sunny skies with snow melt through the day and cold afternoon temperatures.

CANON CITY: High: 34; Low: 20. Sunny skies and cold daytime temperatures leading to side street snow melt.

WOODLAND PARK: High: 33; Low: 10. Sunny skies with cold daytime temperatures and snow melt on the pavement.

TRI-LAKES: High: 30s; Low: 10s. Mostly sunny and cold with light winds and more pavement snow melt.

PLAINS: High: 30s; Low: 210s. Mostly sunny and cold with more snow melt through the afternoon.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 30s; Low: 10s. Sunny and breezy with cold daytime temperatures and chilly afternoon temps.

Extended Outlook:
Friday is going to be warm and sunny with temperatures back into the 50s. We'll see pretty warm air on Saturday with colder temperatures back by Sunday. The next snow chance in the region arrives Sunday afternoon.
