Today’s Forecast:
Sunny and breezy to start the day as a cold front pushes in from the north. The winds will turn easterly this afternoon, helping to generate some scattered showers and thunderstorms across the Pikes Peak Region. A few stray showers may run over the Sangre and Wet Mountains, but the best energy remains farther north near the Front Range. Tonight we'll see cloud cover fill in across the plains with areas of fog and mist by Saturday morning.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High - 78; Low - 48. Breezy and sunny in the morning with clouds, gusty winds, and isolated showers/thunderstorms in the mid to late afternoon. Dry air will mean rain will be scattered across town and more likely on the north and west sides of Colorado Springs.

PUEBLO: High - 85; Low - 50. Mild and breezy this morning with a warm and sunny afternoon. Dry skies are expected over Pueblo today, but cloud cover will increase overnight into Saturday morning.

CANON CITY: High - 83; Low - 54. Mild and breezy this morning with gusty winds and cloud cover coming in a bit thicker in the afternoon. Canon City will likely stay dry today, but isolated showers are possible in the mountains especially north of town.

WOODLAND PARK: High - 70; Low - 41. Breezy and sunny this morning with thicker clouds and isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon. Rain isn't expected to be very heavy and storms will be very scattered across Teller County, so there isn't a guarantee Woodland Park will take a direct hit from a shower, just think wet thoughts.

TRI-LAKES: High - 60/70s; Low - 40s. Breezy and sunny in the morning with clouds, gusty winds, and isolated showers/thunderstorms in the mid to late afternoon. Storms and showers should be on the weak side today, but we always need to be careful if there's lightning and thunder.

PLAINS: High - 80s; Low - 50s. Windy and dry today with plenty of late Summer warmth across the plains, despite the fact that we're now in Autumn. The winds will be northerly in the morning and switch back to the east later today.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High - 80s; Low - 40s. Windy and likely dry today with not enough moisture and just too little energy for rain along I-25 from Walsenburg to Trinidad. If we do see a little rain late today, it'll be out west towards the Sangre De Cristos.

Extended Outlook:
The weekend will start cloudy, foggy, and misty, with the fog and mist most likely in the Pikes Peak Region Saturday morning. The sun will come out Saturday afternoon with gusty winds and dry skies. Sunday and Monday look very warm and windy, meaning fire danger is going to be extremely high on both days. A cool down is going to happen around the middle of next week. Cool air moves in on Tuesday, with the coolest air settling down for Wednesday. Isolated mountain storms are possible on both Tuesday and Wednesday.
