Today’s Forecast:
There is going to be some residual smoke in the morning across southern Colorado, but as the morning goes on, it'll lift and clear through the afternoon. Today is going to be about 5 to 10 degrees cooler than yesterday but will warm under strong afternoon sunshine.

There are still a few areas with very high fire danger, mainly Fremont County and down through the San Luis Valley.
COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 85; Low: 51. Smokey skies in the early morning but mostly sunny and warm today with stronger winds in the afternoon.
PUEBLO: High: 91; Low: 53. Hot and sunny today but still much cooler than Monday with gusty winds in the afternoon.
CANON CITY: High: 87; Low: 52. Warm and sunny today with very high fire danger from low humidity and strong afternoon wind gusts.
WOODLAND PARK: High: 74; Low: 45. Smokey skies in the early morning with sunny skies and very pleasant daytime temperatures.
TRI-LAKES: High: 70s; Low: 40s. Smokey skies in the early morning with sunny skies and very pleasant daytime temperatures and gusty afternoon winds.
PLAINS: High: 90s; Low: 50s. Hot again today with stronger daytime winds and strong sunshine.
WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 80s; Low: 50s. A bit of smoke in the early morning but mostly just warm with stronger daytime winds.
Extended Outlook:
Temperatures tomorrow will be about the same as we see today with more sunny skies and gusty daytime winds. We'll start to get hotter on Thursday but we'll stay dry. Storm chances are back over the weekend which will likely affect outdoor 4th of July celebrations.
