Today’s Forecast:
A cold front overnight brought a TON of wind through southern Colorado with multiple gusts in and around 60 mph. We're going to feel much cooler today behind the front with highs in the 70s across most of the region. The winds will be strong and gusty this afternoon and the humidity will be very low. Fire danger will remain high through the afternoon and early evening.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 73; Low: 41. Red Flag Warnings are in effect until 6 pm in El Paso County. The skies will be clear but the winds will be very strong in the afternoon with high fire danger.

PUEBLO: High: 79; Low: 36. Sunny and windy conditions through the afternoon with very pleasant daytime conditions. Fire danger will remain elevated today.

CANON CITY: High: 77; Low: 46. Sunny and mild with strong daytime winds and Red Flag Warnings in effect till 6 pm. Fire danger will stay high in the afternoon.

WOODLAND PARK: High: 65; Low: 36. Very high fire danger with low humidity and wind gusts in the 30 to 40 mph range. Red Flag Warnings are in effect till 6 pm.

TRI-LAKES: High: 60s; Low: 30s. High fire danger with Red Flag Warnings in effect till 6 pm. We're going to see strong winds in the afternoon and very low humidity.

PLAINS: High: 70s; Low: 30s/40s. Sunny and windy with elevated to high fire danger across the plains. We'll see the strongest winds in the afternoon.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 70s; Low: 40s. Very high fire danger along and west of I-25 from Walsenburg to Trinidad today with strong winds gusts and low humidity.

Extended Outlook:
Tuesday will likely have more Red Flag Warnings in Teller, Fremont, and El Paso Counties from more high fire danger. We'll be in the 70s and 80s this afternoon with more 80s in the forecast on Wednesday. A strong cold front will bring big winds and much cooler air to the region on Thursday with dry skies expected through the weekend.
