Today’s Forecast:
We're going to see the potential for a few showers and sprinkles this morning coming down from Denver, but a lot of that moisture will miss El Paso county and slide east towards Kiowa County. Today will be cooler overall with gusty north winds and a mix of sun and cloud cover. There will be a chance for showers and rumbles of thunder in the afternoon and early evening. Overnight we'll dry out and the winds will die down.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 60; Low: 35. A few showers and sprinkles in the morning are possible with another chance for scattered showers by the end of the day. It'll feel cold today under afternoon clouds and strong northerly winds.

PUEBLO: High: 67; Low: 37. We should stay mostly dry in the morning with a better chance for spotty thundershowers through the afternoon and early evening. We'll feel chilly with gusty north winds during the daytime.

CANON CITY: High: 65; Low: 36. We look to stay mostly dry in the morning like Pueblo with a better chance for spotty and isolated thundershowers in the afternoon and early evening. It'll be cool today under the clouds and gusty winds.

WOODLAND PARK: High: 49; Low: 29. A few flurries are possible in the early morning, but we will likely stay pretty dry until the afternoon when scattered and isolated showers are possible. It'll be pretty chilly under the clouds today.

TRI-LAKES: High: 40s; Low: 30s. Light rain and flurries are possible in the morning but the better chance for showers and a stray rumble of thunder comes in the afternoon or early evening.

PLAINS: High: 60s; Low: 30s. Rain is likely this morning in and around Kiowa County with more spotty showers and thunderstorms from the afternoon and evening hours. A lot of the region will stay dry but chilly with gusty north winds.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 50s; Low: 30s. Mostly dry today through Walsenburg and Trinidad, even though a stray late day shower could hop out of the mountains. It'll be chilly with gusty north winds.

Extended Outlook:
We have a chance for more showers and flurries early Saturday morning, mainly in northern El Paso County around the Palmer Divide and northern Teller County. There will be the chance for more spotty showers Saturday afternoon, but likely just in the Pikes Peak Region. Sunday looks dry and much warmer with highs in the 70s and 80s. The story of next week is all about the warmth as we hit the upper 70s and 80s through the region, with Pueblo's first 90 likely next Thursday!
