Today’s Forecast:
A very tough and complicated forecast is in place over southern Colorado. We're going to be dry today but at the end of the day and mostly tonight, we'll see snow run back through the region. Snowfall is going to favor the eastern mountains slopes west of I-25.

There will be a narrow snow band that likely sets up over the region, but it's going to be very difficult to figure out exactly where that band will set up. Snow totals outside of wherever this band sets up looks generally light with Tuesday morning's commute being the biggest impact.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 43; Low: 18. Dry for most of the day with snow most likely to show up this evening and continue through Tuesday morning. There easily could be some icy streets overnight from warmer today time temps today, leading to slick and snow covered morning commutes Tuesday.

PUEBLO: High: 51; Low: 21. Dry today with snowfall arriving tonight and continue through Tuesday morning. There easily could be some icy streets overnight from warmer today time temps today, leading to slick and snow covered morning commutes Tuesday.

CANON CITY: High: 48; Low: 21. Dry today with snowfall arriving tonight and continue through Tuesday morning. There easily could be some icy streets overnight from warmer today time temps today, leading to slick and snow covered morning commutes Tuesday.

WOODLAND PARK: High: 39; Low: 11. Mostly dry today other than a late day flurry, with most snowfall arriving late tonight through Tuesday morning. There could be some icy spots due to warmer daytime temperatures today, and Ute Pass in particular could get very slick overnight.

TRI-LAKES: High: 40s; Low: 10s. Mostly dry other than a few isolated light snow showers or flurries at the end of the day, but most snowfall will arrive tonight and last through Tuesday morning. There will likely be icy spots and heavier snow through Tuesday morning and very slick commutes to Denver should be expected.

PLAINS: High: 50s; Low: 20s. Dry with increasing clouds today with snow arriving later tonight and falling through Tuesday morning. Snowfall totals will be low for most of the area, but there will be a heavy snow band that sets up somewhere in the plains that drops around 4 inches or more. At this time, it's very tough to pin down where that snow band will develop.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 40s; Low: 20s. Dry today with snow arriving overnight through Tuesday morning. We're going to see some slick commutes overnight, but at this point, some of the heaviest snow seems to be north of Walsenburg and Trinidad. Icy streets under the snow is a fairly large issue for Tuesday morning's commute.

Extended Outlook:
Most of the snowfall tonight and Tuesday morning will stop falling by lunch tomorrow, but light easterly winds could keep flurries or very light snow going through Tuesday afternoon and evening, but with very little extra accumulation. The next chance for snow is on Wednesday evening through Thursday morning, at this system looks like a heavier snow in the region. Friday looks sunny and dry at this point before another weak snow chance this Saturday.
