Cold front brings refreshing heat relief!

Today’s Forecast:
A cold front moving across the forecast area this morning will bring much cooler air and gusty winds into southern Colorado today. The winds will blow around 15 to 25 mph through the morning, and become a bit less gusty through the afternoon. Temperatures will be about 10 to 15 degrees cooler this afternoon compared to Sunday. A stray shower is possible in the mountains in the afternoon, but most of the region will stay dry.

PUEBLO: High - 90; Low - 57. Sunny, windy and hot today with dry skies.

CANON CITY: High - 89; Low - 59. Mostly sunny, breezy, and hot today with dry skies.

WOODLAND PARK: High - 75; Low - 47. Mostly sunny, mild, and dry today.

TRI-LAKES: High - 70s; Low - 40s. Mostly sunny, windy, and mild today with dry skies.

PLAINS: High - 80s; Low - 50s. Sunny, windy and hot today with dry skies. Wind gusts could reach 30 or more mph through the morning.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High - 80s; Low - 50s. Mostly sunny, windy and warm today with dry skies.

Extended Outlook:
Another cold front on Tuesday afternoon could bring scattered showers and thunderstorms to the mountains, especially the southern mountain and Raton Mesa area. We'll be dry on Wednesday with temperatures around 4 to 6 degrees above average. Record temperatures are possible on Thursday, especially in Colorado Springs. Cooler weather and rain chances return by the weekend.
