We're looking like a classic November day with lots of cloudy cover, gusty winds, chilly temperatures, and areas of light snow to flurries. Luckily with the snow we'll see today and tonight, we're not anticipating much if any real accumulation. Most of the light snow will stay in the mountains, and we aren't expecting many travel problems. Overnight we'll dry out with lows falling down into the 20s.
Our thinking for snowfall today and this evening hasn't changed much at all since yesterday. Most of the accumulating precip will occur west of I-25 or up along the Palmer Divide/Monument Hill. Travel should be fine for most of us today, maybe a bit slick this evening for some pic.twitter.com/UI6MYEYXvS— Sam Schreier (@SamASchreier) November 9, 2020
COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 47; Low: 22. Cloudy and windy today with light snow to flurries possible today, especially this afternoon in northern and eastern El Paso County. Accumulations for snow look minimal to nothing at all for the county.
PUEBLO: High: 57; Low: 24. Cloudy, chilly, and windy today. We should stay dry other than a stray shower or sprinkle today or early this evening.
CANON CITY: High: 50; Low: 28. A stray shower or flurry is possible today but most of the weather is forecast to be dry and windy with cloud cover.
WOODLAND PARK: High: 36; Low: 15. Cold, cloudy, and windy today with light snow to flurries possible especially this afternoon.
TRI-LAKES: High: 30s; Low: 10s. Cold and windy with light snow and blowing snow possible this afternoon and evening. Visibility could go down at times this afternoon if snow and strong winds come together, but snow accumulations should be rather light.
PLAINS: High: 60s; Low: 20s. Windy and warm today with very cold air settling in overnight. There could be an evening flurry in the plains but no real accumulation.
WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 40s; Low: 20s. Very windy and mild temperatures today with stray showers or sprinkles during the day. Most of the snow will be west out over the Sangre De Cristos.
The forecast is going to be dry this week with more sunshine but chilly daytime temperatures. Highs will stay in the 40s and 50s this week, warming slightly by Friday and Saturday.
