Today’s Forecast:
The big story today is cooler and cloudier weather through southern Colorado, with scattered showers staying most south of Highway 50 in Las Animas County. We could still see a few showers in northern Fremont County drift through Teller and El Paso County this evening, but the rain will overwhelmingly be south near Trinidad and the surrounding towns in eastern Las Animas County. WE should dry out across the region by Friday morning.
COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 56; Low: 35. Cloudy, cool, and breezy with an isolated shower late this evening.
PUEBLO: High: 62; Low: 38. Cloudy and mild with a stronger afternoon breeze and a pretty high chance of staying dry through the evening.
CANON CITY: High: 59; Low: 40. Cloudy and cool with a chance for showers in the early evening, although that rain chance is best north of Canon City in the mountains of Fremont County.
WOODLAND PARK: High: 52; Low: 32. Cloudy, breezy, and chilly with a slight chance for showers mixed in with flurries this evening. Any snow accumulation would be minor to non accumulating.
TRI-LAKES: High: 50s; Low: 320s. Cloudy and chilly today with a stronger afternoon breeze and a small chance for isolated showers in the evening.
PLAINS: High: 60s; Low: 30s. Cloudy and breezy during the day with showers likely in the overnight hours, mainly for areas along and south of highway 50.
WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 60s; Low: 30s. Cloudy and windy during the day with late day, evening, and overnight rain likely, especially for areas south and east of Walsenburg.
Extended Outlook:
Friday, we'll see a chance for scattered showers and even a bit of thunder in the Pikes Peak Region during the afternoon. Saturday looks warmer and dry, but with a decent amount of cloud cover sticking around. Sunday is going to be much colder with a lot of wind, and light to moderate snow possible through the region. There is a flurry chance on Monday, and a small chance for stray showers next Tuesday.
