Gloomy is the best way to describe the forecast in southern Colorado today. Cloud cover will keep the skies gray, and the temperatures chilly through the afternoon. The winds will stay light with dry skies across the region with snow expected west across the Continental Divide, especially in the morning. Overnight we'll see more Continental Divide snow with a few flurries likely towards Teller County.
COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 53; Low: 32. Cloudy, dry, and chilly with light winds. A few flakes overnight are possible.
PUEBLO: High: 58; Low: 30. Partly sunny, dry, and cool with more dry skies expected tonight.
CANON CITY: High: 55; Low: 34. Mostly cloudy, dry, and cool with a a few flakes possible in western Fremont County overnight.
WOODLAND PARK: High: 45; Low: 27. Cloudy and cold today with dry skies during the day, but light snow showers or flurries possible overnight.
TRI-LAKES: High: 40s; Low: 20s. Cloudy and chilly today with light winds and dry skies. A stray snowflake is possible overnight.
PLAINS: High: 50s; Low: 20s. Partly sunny, cool, and dry across the plains today with dry skies overnight.
WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 50s; Low: 30s. Mostly cloudy, dry, and breezy today with dry skies expected tonight.
Extended Outlook:
A few light snow showers are likely overnight in westerly Fremont County and Teller County, but with little accumulation. Light snow and rain is possible on Thursday, but with little to no accumulation of either type of precipitation. Light snow returns Thursday afternoon, across our southern mountains like the Sangres, but also to parts of the Pikes Peak Region. Little to no accumulation is expected, but even an inch of snow could lead to a few slick drives.
