Today’s Forecast:
Plenty of cold air out across southern Colorado this morning, but we'll have sunny skies propelling temperatures above freezing quickly through the morning. The winds will stay fairly light today, but across the plains there will be a stronger breeze in the afternoon. We'll stay dry today and tonight, with clear skies through the evening allowing for temperatures to fall back into the teens and single digits by Tuesday morning.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 36; Low: 10. Sunny, calm and chilly with daytime temperatures in the mid 30s.

PUEBLO: High: 39; Low: 5. Sunny, calm, and mild with daytime temperatures in the upper 30s.

CANON CITY: High: 38; Low: 15. Sunny, light winds, and mild with daytime temperatures in the mid 30s.

WOODLAND PARK: High: 30; Low: 6. Sunny, calm, with snow melt as highs warm up towards freezing.

TRI-LAKES: High: 20s; Low: Below 10. Sunny, calm, and cold with daytime temperatures in the lower 30s.

PLAINS: High: 30s; Low: Below 10. Sunny, windy in the afternoon, and chilly with daytime temperatures in the mid 30s.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 30s; Low: 10s. Sunny and breezy through the afternoon with daytime highs in the mid 30s.

Extended Outlook:
Another very cold night with lows on Tuesday morning sitting in the teens, single digits, and negatives in the mountain valleys. New Years Eve looks sunny and dry during the daytime, with clear skies, light winds, and dry skies through the overnight hours. Temperatures New Years Eve night will be in the 20s with teens by Wednesday morning. The mountains will see snow from Wednesday through Friday of this week, but southern Colorado doesn't have a very good chance for snow.
