Today’s Forecast:
Lots of beautiful weather in the forecast today but we still need to watch the plains for strong to severe thunderstorms in the early evening. The mountains and I-25 corridor will stay dry today, but there is a solid chance for severe weather in Baca and Prowers county from 6 to 9 pm tonight. An isolated strong storm could try and develop in El Paso and Pueblo County around midnight tonight, but that chance remains fairly low.
COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 77; Low: 46. Gorgeous weather through the afternoon and evening with breezy and dry conditions.
PUEBLO: High: 82; Low: 48. Warm but nice weather today with dry air and breezy daytime conditions.
CANON CITY: High: 79; Low: 47. Beautiful and dry with breezy daytime conditions.
WOODLAND PARK: High: 65; Low: 38. A weak chance for late day showers but it's more likely we stay dry and beautiful.
TRI-LAKES: High: 60s; Low: 30/40s. Stunning weather with dry and breezy daytime conditions.
PLAINS: High: 80s; Low: 50s. Strong to severe storms are likely at the end of the day and early this evening for the far southeast plains, mainly Baca, Prowers, and possibly eastern Bent Counties. Large hail, 55mph or higher winds, and isolated tornadoes are all possible late today.
WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 70s; Low: 40s. Likely dry with gusty windy and warm daytime conditions.
Extended Outlook:
High fire danger is back for Friday and Saturday with dry air and strong, gusty winds. Storm chances remain strong on Sunday and Monday with heavier and widespread rain likely.
