Today’s Forecast:
Happy New Year's Eve! We're expecting dry and sunny skies across Colorado today, driven by a strong area of high pressure. Overnight temperatures will quickly drop into the 20s, but with the winds staying light. Clear skies are expected across most of the region, meaning we should have no trouble seeing fireworks from the summit of Pikes Peak! If you're going to celebrate tonight, dress warmly and please drink responsibly!

COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 43; Low: 21. Sunny, mild, and dry with light winds.

PUEBLO: High: 47; Low: 16. Sunny, pleasant, and dry with calm winds.

CANON CITY: High: 45; Low: 23. Sunny, pleasant, and dry with light winds.

WOODLAND PARK: High: 39; Low: 15. Sunny, chilly, and dry with light winds.

TRI-LAKES: High: 40s; Low: 10s/20s. Sunny, cool, and dry with calm winds.

PLAINS: High: 40s; Low: 10s. Sunny, pleasant, and dry with light winds.

Extended Outlook:
Heavy snow is expected over the Continental Divide on Wednesday, with periods of snow over the mountains lasting through Friday. Here in southern Colorado there is a chance for light snow late Wednesday night to early Thursday morning in the plains, with light flurries across the interstate early to mid Thursday morning. The rest of the week is dry and warmer into the weekend, with widespread 50s expected on Saturday with mostly sunny skies.
