Tonight’s Forecast:
After a gorgeous day, it only makes sense that a beautiful night follows. Sunny skies from the day will turn into clear skies overnight with dry air allowing for a quick drop in our temperatures. We'll see lows fall into the 50s in the plains, 40s in the mountains, and even a few upper 30 degree readings in some of the mountain valleys. We'll keep light winds overnight through Tuesday morning.

We're looking at a chilly and sunny start to Tuesday, with a windy and warm afternoon to follow. The winds will start to ramp up around lunchtime and stay gusty into the evening hours. From I-25 through the plains most wind gusts will stay in the 20 mph range, maybe a little higher to the east. Temperatures will be above average but manageable again with low humidity and a cooling wind to keep things comfortable. No rain is expected other than a stray few thunderstorms in Las Animas and Prowers Counties.

PUEBLO: Low: 55, High: 91. Chilly night followed by a sunny and hot afternoon with wind gusts in the teen to 20 mph range at he their strongest.
CANON CITY: Low: 58, High: 88. Cool night followed by a sunny and hot afternoon with wind gusts in the teen to 20 mph range at their strongest.
WOODLAND PARK: Low: 46, High: 75. Cold night followed by a mostly sunny and pleasant afternoon with wind gusts in the 20 mph range at their strongest.
TRI-LAKES: Low: 40s, High: 70s. Chilly night followed by a sunny and warm afternoon with wind gusts in the 20 mph range at their strongest.
PLAINS: Low: 50s, High: 90s. Cool night followed by a sunny and hot afternoon with wind gusts in the teen to 20 mph range at their strongest. A few isolated thunderstorms are possible from Las Animas County through Bent and Prowers County in the afternoon and early evening.
WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: Low: 50s, High: 80s. Cool night followed by a sunny and warm afternoon with wind gusts in the teen to 20 mph range at their strongest.
Extended Outlook:
Tuesday will be warm, dry and windy, with a very similar forecast expected for Wednesday. The winds will be even stronger on Wednesday afternoon with gusts likely in the 30 to 40 mph range from I-25 through the plains. Dry skies are expected on Wednesday and Thursday across southern Colorado. We'll see a cold front Wednesday night push highs down into the 70s and 80s on Thursday and Friday. The weekend as of now looks hot and dry.
