Tonight’s Forecast:
Not as cold tonight with lows in the 10’s and 20’s. A few clouds at times, especially heading into the early morning hours. Winds stay breezy for the higher elevations.
COLORADO SPRINGS: Low – 23, High – 62. A bit milder tonight. A warm day on Wednesday with stronger winds and high fire danger.
PUEBLO: Low – 19, High – 66. Quiet and milder overnight. Stronger winds, high fire danger, and warmer temperatures tomorrow.
CANON CITY: Low – 24, High – 64. Milder and quiet tonight. Winds increase on Wednesday with nicer temperatures.
WOODLAND PARK: Low – 18, High – 53. Breezy tonight with passing clouds. Stronger winds tomorrow with mild temperatures.
TRI-LAKES: Low – 10’s, High – 50’s. Winds stay breezy overnight. Gusty on Wednesday with milder temperatures.
PLAINS: Low – 20, High – 60’s. Quiet and milder overnight. Winds get strong tomorrow with high fire danger and warmer temperatures.
WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: Low – 20’s, High – 60’s. Milder and breezy overnight. Stronger winds on Wednesday with high fire danger and warmer temperatures.
REST OF THE WEEK: A few areas of clouds on Wednesday with snow showers for the Continental Divide. The lower elevations will be worried about high fire danger with dry air and fuels combined with gusty winds. Those winds really increase during the second half of the day and stay strong into Wednesday night. The downslope winds will warm temperatures into the 60’s for both Wednesday and Thursday. Winds stay strong into Thursday. Gusts will easily exceed 30 mph each day before eventually improving into Friday. We could see showers developing late Thursday into Friday. These will be most abundant west of I-25, but could sneak east towards the lower elevations at times. The better chance for cold air and snow will arrive late Sunday into Monday. This system has the better potential to cause some issues, especially for that Monday morning commute.
